Jim Malone Named to The Florida Council of 100

Qorval's founding managing partner, James R. Malone, has been named a member of The Florida Council of 100.
A private, nonprofit, nonpartisan organization, The Council was formed in 1961 to provide advice to Gov. Farris Bryant on key issues from a business perspective. As noted on its website, today the council functions to promote the economic growth of Florida and improve the state's economic well-being and quality of life.
Qorval is a Naples-based business advisory firm providing management services across a broad array of industries. Malone, who has held Chief Executive Officer positions at companies ranging from privately-held to Fortune 500 firms in industries ranging from aerospace to automotive, and heath care to light and heavy manufacturing. Malone is also Chairman of the Board of Governors of Citizens Property Insurance Corporation, the fourth largest writer of property insurance in the nation and largest insurer in Florida.
Upon his appointment to the Council by Gov. Charlie Christ and the Council's nomination committee, Malone said, "I look forward to working with fellow Council members to assist our state's executive and legislative leaders in achieving the goal of improving the economic climate of the state and the quality of life for all its citizens."
According to the Council's website: CEOs invited into the Council represent a cross-section of key business leadership in Florida. Members are expected to have a stake in Florida and in the achievement of the Council mission; have achieved a high degree of success and recognition in their business, profession or public service career; have demonstrated involvement in public policy issues; and possess the personal qualities of character, personality and leadership ability, and the desire to advance the Council mission.
